Hey gang, Joey here. You don’t know me, but if you’re reading this Insanity Asylum review, then we’ve got a lot in common. I was always a competitive athlete in high school. I competed in football during the fall, track and field during the spring season. I wanted to keep my mind and body as fit as possible.

Who Designed This…
According to the packaging, this kit was put together by a former track-and-field star, Shaun Thompson, who competed at Rowan University. Don’t think he’s just some yahoo athlete, though… he also earned his B.S. in Sports Science. His minor in Theatre & Dance didn’t hurt either.
He’s worked with the LA Lakers and appeared on a number of TV shows from Ellen to Good Morning America. You might recall that he’s the same dude who created the successful “Hip Hop Abs” video, “Rockin Body” video and the original “Insanity” DVD. Insanity Asylum is just an off-shoot of his Insanity video series aimed at professional athletes.
Pros & Cons…
What Insanity Asylum review would be complete without running through the pros and cons? After my first week, I was ready to tell everyone I knew about this amazing program. I think the biggest testimonial of all is that it WORKS! After just 7 days of training, I felt I was really running faster, jumping higher and becoming more agile.
Mentally, I was feeling the same way I felt after a hardcore professional sports team practice. I could never get to this level on my own at the gym! You’ll sweat just watching these DVDs! I like that Insanity Asylum came with the nutrition guide and playbook too, so the whole system was really straight-forward and easy to use.
The only con is that some of the maneuvers – especially with the agility ladder – are a little tricky at first, so you might need to slow it down a bit, rewind, and check yourself. Remember, you want your perform to be PERFECT – not only so you get the maximum workout, but also so you don’t hurt yourself.
